Living history

Our living history programme allows students to delve into the past and enjoy activities focused around the time of the Anglo-Saxons*.

Our programme is a lovely way to start off your Key Stage history topic. The day is structured around a series of hands on activities that encourage children to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. Activities may include: wattle and daub, making pennies, bread making, foraging, milling, woodwork, dressing up and forge working.

The clothing and tools used in our village are some examples of what craftsmen, woman and even children would have used in 410 AD – 1066.

*Programme content is flexible and can be tailored to complement topics being studied at school.
