Get ready for a half term full of fun at Wildwood Devon this February

From Saturday 15th February - Sunday 23rd February, Devon's wildest animal park, Wildwood, will be hosting a jam-packed week of events, guaranteed to banish the winter blues!

Visiting Wildwood Devon this February half term is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature and wildlife. It's not just educational, but also a fun, outdoor experience where children and adults alike can learn something new!

The park, which is just outside of Ottery St Mary, on the Escot Estate, is home to more than 40 species of British wildlife, from wolves and wildcats to owls and arctic foxes.

Adventure trail and other activities

 

Join in the fun with our adventure trail. Follow the clues around the 40-acre park. Prizes will await the victors! Tickets cost £3 and are available on arrival at the entrance to the park.

Every day during the week, visitors will also be able to join in with a host of activities in the historic Saxon Village. Activities range from 50p to £2 and tickets are available at the Village. Bring cash!

Valentine's night tour

 

The week will also include a special Valentine's celebration night tour on Friday February 14th.

The valentine's day celebrations include a magical, guided night tour through the heart of the woodland, giving visitors a chance to see the park's nocturnal inhabitants in a new light, followed by a sumptious two- course meal.

Dining 6-7pm, night tour 7-9pm. £60 per person.

Papermaking2

Paper making course

 

Saturday 18th February 2025 from 10am to 12.30pm

Ever wondered how paper is made? Any idea what a mold and deckle are? Do you enjoy the idea of crafting whilst immersed in nature? Well then come and experience the paper making process and create your own eco-friendly works of art!

We will be using recycled materials, as well as the wonderful wild world around us to create homemade paper masterpieces. The course includes step by step instruction of the paper making process, as well as a foraging opportunity to collect plant based adornments for your creations. The experience ends with an origami workshop to learn how to transform paper into all manner of creatures and plants.

Suitable for all ages, however under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
