Spread across 40 acres of gardens and woodland in the heart of Devon, Wildwood is home to a fascinating array of British wildlife. From brown bears and wolves to arctic foxes and red squirrels, our park offers a unique opportunity to explore and discover.
Wildwood is the ideal destination for a family adventure. Our park features outdoor and indoor play areas where children can enjoy endless fun, while parents relax amidst nature’s splendour.
Animals
Bears, wolves, arctic foxes, wild boar, lynx, wildcat, owls, and reptiles are among some of the many animals you will have the chance to spot. Our collection is unique in that we specialise in native British species.
Woodland
Enjoy walking through 45 acres of beautiful and enchanting ancient woodland and gardens, while spotting our animals in their natural habitats.
Beech hedge maze
Challenge yourself and your family in our intricate beech hedge maze. Can you find your way to the centre?
Authentic Saxon village
Step back in time and explore our carefully reconstructed Saxon Village, offering a glimpse into the past and engaging activities for all.

            Discover our new soft play barn
Our nature-themed indoor play centre is the perfect place for little advernturers to explore, climb, crawl and play. Inspired by the natural world around us, our soft play area is themed with woodland colours and creatures to spark the imagination. With safety and fun at heart of every detail, the space is split in two zones;
0-3 years: A gentle sensory-rich area with soft shapes, low level challenges and plenty space to crawl, toddle, and discover.
4-12 years: A more dynamic zone packed with exciting obstacles, slides, and interactive equipment to burn off energy and encourage imaginative play.
 
            Adopt an animal this Christmas
Make a difference and give the perfect gift with our unique animal adoptions! If we have it, you can adopt it - from Arctic foxes, wolves and bears, to dormice, rabbits and ants, the choice is yours.
Each adoption lasts for one year and directly supports our vital work to protect native wildlife.

            Incredible experiences!
Our experiences are a unique opportunity to meet and learn about and interact with some of animals. This is an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience.
The experiences are season dependent and occur at different times on different days, always taking the welfare of our animals into consideration while providing an unforgettable customer experience.
We do experiences with bears (Apr-Sep), wolves, and arctic foxes. We also offer junior keeper days for the younger zoo enthusiast. On select evenings throughout the year we offer night tours, a unique and fascinating experience.
