Devon Easter Hero

Wildwood Devon unveils an EGGcellent Easter line-up!

16th Mar 2024

From Saturday 30th March - Sunday 14th April, Devon's WILDEST animal park, Wildwood Devon, will be helping visitors put a spring in their step this Easter with a host of fun activities and a line-up of furry favourites.

For chocolate fiends looking for a challenge, there’ll be a twisting trail around the maze, with a chocolatey treat waiting at the end for all those who find all the wildlife themed stamps.

Daily activities for young animal enthusiasts will also be on offer with interactive keeper talks and a chance to visit our Saxon Village!

Goodbye Diego

This week, we sadly said our farewells to Diego and sent him safely on his way to his forever home at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park. A huge thank you to all of the Wildwood Trust team for another incredible success story!

This does mean, however, that Mish & Lucy, Wildwood Devon’s two resident European Brown Bears, are awake, full of energy and will be able to be visited this Easter 🐻🐻

The Bears have been in a heavily-reduced state of activity called "torpor", in which their metabolism slows and they become very sleepy. Wildwood is one of the few wildlife parks which allow their bears to go into torpor - a survival tactic bears use in the wild to make it through periods when food is scarce.

To keep energy levels up for visitors, there’ll be a steady supply of hot-buns alongside other sumptuous spring snacks in the Saxon Village and at the park cafe. Parents can sit back and enjoy while the kids go wild in the amazing adventure playground featuring the vertical drop slide, zip wire and an indoor play!

This truly is an Easter Egg-stravaganza!
