  • Help with flora clearing and coppicing
  • Support conservation surveys of the area
Saxon Village

We are lucky enough to have a Saxon village onsite, which helps us tell the story of the history of Britain. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic people with good communication skills and are not afraid to get stuck into the life of a Saxon. Volunteers will assist the weekend staff in bringing the village alive while using unique skills to help maintain and run the village.

Example tasks:

  • Assist with the maintenance of the village such as wattle and daubing, thatching roofs and wood-turning
  • Helping maintain the herb and produce garden
  • Engage and interact with visitors throughout the day
Group Volunteer and Corporate Social Responsibility Days

In addition to the day-to-day demands of running the park, we have a range of one-off projects throughout the year, which are more suited to a team approach.

These include everything from building refurbishments to new enclosure builds, from developing kids play areas to major rewilding projects.

Ideal for meeting Corporate Social Responsibilities targets, these volunteer days are fun, challenging and rewarding and great for team-building and developing leadership.

If you have a team of enthusiastic colleagues eager for a fun day out making a real contribution to conservation, then contact us today.
